Are you an energetic and motivated person with a passion for creating fun and exciting play activities for children of all ages and abilities? Do you have the desire to lead on the development of outreach play services and hold a qualification in a Health Play Specialism registered with HPSET?

We are currently seeking a Play Specialist to be part of our outreach services that we provide to our Rainbows Community inside and outside the hospice. Providing therapeutic and generic, play and leisure activities for babies, children and young people at Rainbows, creating meaningful and enjoyable memories in a safe and caring environment.

As well as ensuring all children have access to play and planning appropriate activities based on a child’s needs, you will be responsible for providing assistance, guidance and leadership to the wider Play Team of 3. Supporting the team by overseeing all activities, promoting and maintaining good team work and working alongside the Family Support Lead on any Employee Relation activities.

This is full time role 37.5 hours Monday- Friday with some weekend working for events, for example; Family Fun Days and annual Christmas party.

For this role you will need to have to have the following essential criteria:

  • Fully Qualified Health Play Specialist & registered with HPSET
  • Experience working with babies and children of all ages
  • Experience with babies and children with complex needs
  • Ability to travel around the East Midlands and get to rural locations
